Craig Conway has enjoyed one of the most distinguished and successful careers in the technology industry. He has been recognized as one of the Top 25 Managers by BusinessWeek magazine, Ten Most Influential People In High Technology by Computer Business Review, and Fifty Most Powerful People in Networking by NetworkWorld magazine. As President and Chief Executive Officer, Conway has led several technology companies to success including most recently PeopleSoft. Conway joined PeopleSoft, an ailing provider of enterprise software, in 1999 and began one of the most dramatic turnarounds in the technology industry. His vision to develop the industry’s first pure internet architecture, determination to expand into new products and markets, and intense focus on execution drove PeopleSoft to become the world’s second largest provider of business software. In 2002 Fortune magazine named PeopleSoft the Second Most Admired Company, and Forbes magazine named PeopleSoft one of Five Overachieving Companies. Craig Conway has served as President and CEO of TGV Software, One Touch Systems, and PeopleSoft. He has also held executive management positions at a variety of leading technology companies including Executive Vice President at Oracle Corporation. Conway is a graduate of the State University of New York at Brockport where he received degrees in mathematics and computer science. He has been married for 26 years and has two children. Tom Dyal, Founding Partner, Redpoint Ventures
Tom is a founding partner of Redpoint Ventures. At Redpoint, Tom focuses on infrastructure investments, including software, systems, and components for the communications, computing, storage, and wireless sectors. Tom has been a director or actively involved in such companies as Growth Networks (acquired by Cisco), Shasta Networks (acquired by Nortel), StratumOne Communications (acquired by Cisco), TiMetra Networks (acquired by Alcatel), Netcore Systems (acquired by Tellabs), Velio Communications (acquired by LSI Logic), and Vivace Networks (acquired by Tellabs). Currently, he is leading the firm's investments in Cortina Systems, Kazeon, Santera Systems, and TopSpin Communications. Prior to founding Redpoint, Tom was a general partner with IVP, a venture firm he joined in 1997. Before entering the venture business, Tom spent ten years in operating roles in the communications and networking industry. He worked in product management at Bay Networks, where he was responsible for its network management application business. Tom began his career as a systems engineer with AT&T Bell Laboratories, where he held various system engineering and management positions in the areas of wide-area networking products and services. Tom is a Director of the Western Association of Venture Capitalists (WAVC). He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Sumant Mandal, Managing Director, Clearstone Venture Partners
Sumant joined Clearstone Venture Partners in October 2000 and focuses on core technology investments for carrier and enterprise infrastructure. He serves on boards of several portfolio companies, including Chutney Technologies, Mimosa Systems, Kazeon, and SiNett. He also led Clearstone's investments in ARIO Data Networks and works closely with Crimson Microsystems. Prior to joining Clearstone, Sumant spent more than eight years as an entrepreneur and successful manager, and built one business in India from start up to substantial revenues. He served as a managing director for Technip Inc., a company focused on infrastructure technologies in Asia, and also engineered the sale of controlling equity in his corporate division to a European multinational. Sumant also founded MyPotential, Inc., a multi-media company where he helped write the company's first business plan, hired the key management team, raised close to $15 million in angel and venture financing, and built key strategic relationships. Sumant has an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University. Sudhakar Muddu, President and CEO, Founder
Sudhakar is a seasoned and successful entrepreneur. Before co-founding Kazeon in 2003, he co-founded Sanera Systems, a next-generation SAN technology company, where he served as president and board member. Sanera was started in 2000 and was acquired by McData in 2003. From 1996 to 2000, Sudhakar was lead architect and designer of CPU and server technology at Silicon Graphics, Inc. Sudhakar holds a PhD from University of California, Los Angeles and a BS from India Institute of Technology, Madras. He is widely published in industry journals and conference proceedings and has more than 10 patents in server, storage, networking, and software. Arvind Purushotham, Managing Director, Menlo Ventures
Arvind joined Menlo Ventures in 2001. He started his career as a chip designer working on low power versions of the Pentium Processor® in the Mobile Group at Intel Corporation. Later he became the Program Manager of the Mobile Pentium II® Processor effort and contributed to several successful product launches. His professional career includes brief stints as an investment banking intern at Robertson Stephens and as an associate at the Summit Accelerator Fund. Arvind represents Menlo Ventures on the boards of Enuclia Semiconductor, Intelligent Results, VhaYu Technologies, and Xpedion Design Systems, and he is also involved in Menlo's investments in Cavium Networks, Intransa, Matisse Networks, Mobius Microsystems, Nexxo and Solidcore. Arvind is a graduate of the Harvard University Graduate School of Business (M.B.A.), Case Western Reserve University (M.S. in Electrical Engineering) and the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering). |
